TheSolution: WESCO/EESCO Joliet recommended replacing existing 400-watt metal-halide lighting fixtures with new T8 fluorescent bay fixtures. The longer life fluorescent lamps will save the customer $113.88 per fixture in annual maintenance costs. Thus far, 40 fixtures have been replaced, offering a total annual maintenance savings of $4,555, and a projected annual energy savings of $15,000 to $20,000. More fixtures are slated for future replacement, with a total projected annual savings of $45,000 to $50,000 upon completion.
